Once again the weather gods were smiling upon the Kangaroo Cup for a day of true links golf. The most capped pairing of Martin Milne (off scratch) & Alastair Maciver displayed wonderful golf in the morning round scoring 62 points to lead by 1 point from Damian Hammond & Neil Jopling with Andy Davenport & Simon Hanna a further point behind. In the afternoon round played over 9 holes, Davenport parred his first 4 holes for nett birdies with Hanna draining an eagle putt on the 2nd hole to bank13 points in the 4 better ball holes to Milne & Maciver's 10 points, with Hammond & Jopling only scoring 7 points as the effects of lack of normal sleep (they both work night shifts at BA) kicking in. Davenport and Hanna went on to score a further 21 points on the final 5 holes where both scores count, to close out victory with 94 points from the defending champions David Naylor & Richard Jackson on 90 points, Hammond and Jopling 3rd with 89 points on count back from Milne & Maciver.
